Super Operation Soldier

S.O.S. is a great way for you to get involved in supporting our troops at home and overseas.  This project started by Larry and Charmaine Hammond with our Jr. High Students has now become a project supported by our entire youth group.  S.O.S. Sunday will always be the third Sunday of the month. Bring in your supplies and place them in the bin in the hallway outside the Worship Center.  Some things you may want to include are:

Microwave Popcorn, Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, Tuna Packages, Dried Soup Mixes
Chewing Gum, Razors, Baby Wipes, Germ-ex Hand Sanitzier, Deoderant
small games and DVD's, small packaged snack foods

Help the cause and support the youth as we support our troops!!!

Mexico Mission Trip

Each year our Mexico Mission Trip Organizer Phil Wellhausen leads a group of folks from New Hope down to Mexico to build a house and put on VBS for a Mexican family and their neighbors.  In posthumus honor of one of our students, Elizabeth Rogers, a scholarship fund was started to help send any youth group member who wanted to go to Mexico on this trip.  This is not a youth group trip, but more a trip for any youth member who wants to experience a cross cultural mission trip out of the country.  See Phil Wellhausen for further information about the trip.  Trip planning usually begins in January/February and runs clear up through the trip which usually happens in mid to late July.  

Hanging Rock Christian Assembly 

In 2010-2011 Out Youth Group Mission will be Hanging Rock Christian Assembly.  We will be taking offering each Sunday night throughout the school year.  All proceeds will be given to the camp to use as they see fit.  HRCA is one of our Faith Promise Missions, and is the one we have chosen to support for the next school year.

Active Water

Also in the 2010-11 School year we will have two students attempting to raise $10,000.00 to help the Mission of Active Water to provide clean drinking water to the people of Zambia Africa.  We will be doing most of the fund raising for this mission outside our church family by doing things in the community and raising awareness of the need while we raise money for the mission.  If you would like to help the people of Zambia, please send your donation to New Hope Christian Church, 2746 US 231 N., Crawfordsville IN 47933.  Please note that you want the money to go to the YOUTH ACTIVE WATER PROJECT in the MEMO LINE.  Thank You!
